Accessibility

At SkylieCreates, we believe the experience of finding and giving a meaningful gift should be open to everyone, regardless of physical ability or the technology used to browse the web. Digital accessibility is an ongoing priority for our team, not a single project with a finish line, and we continue to invest time and resources into improving the usability of our site for all visitors.

The Standard We Reference

We aim to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the current version published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which builds on and includes the WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria. We treat this as a working target we continuously measure ourselves against, rather than a status we consider permanently achieved. Given the pace at which web technologies, assistive tools, and guidelines evolve, full conformance across every page and every third-party integration at all times cannot be guaranteed, but it remains the standard that guides our ongoing work.

What We're Doing

Improving accessibility is a continuous process for us. Our efforts include, but are not limited to:

  • Periodically reviewing our site's structure, navigation, and content against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria
  • Prioritizing fixes based on the impact they have on people using assistive technology, such as screen readers or keyboard-only navigation
  • Training our team on accessibility best practices as part of how we build and update the site
  • Evaluating new features and content for accessibility before they are published where feasible

Known Limitations

Despite our ongoing efforts, some parts of our website may not yet fully meet every WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion. This can include areas that rely on third-party tools, legacy content that has not yet been reviewed, or features we are actively working to improve. We would rather be transparent about this than claim a level of conformance we cannot fully verify at every point in time. If you encounter a specific barrier, we want to know about it — see the Feedback section below.

Third-Party Content and Tools

Our storefront includes certain third-party applications, plugins, embedded content, and services that we do not directly develop or fully control. While we select our partners and vendors with accessibility in mind and encourage them to prioritize accessible, user-friendly design, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of tools or content outside our direct control. If a specific third-party feature creates a barrier for you, please let us know — in many cases we can offer an alternative way to complete what you were trying to do.

Feedback and Assistance

If you have difficulty accessing any part of this website, or believe you've found content, a feature, or functionality that is not fully accessible, please contact us at support@skyliecreates.com.

To help us address the issue as quickly as possible, please include:

  • The specific page, feature, or content you were trying to access
  • A brief description of the barrier you encountered
  • The browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if known

We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to provide a substantive response or resolution timeline within 5 business days. If you are unable to complete a purchase or access information you need due to an accessibility barrier, we're glad to help you complete it another way — by phone, email, or another method that works for you.

A Note on This Statement

This statement describes our ongoing efforts and current approach to accessibility. It is intended to be informative and does not constitute a warranty, certification, or legal guarantee of conformance with any specific accessibility standard, in whole or in part. We review and update this statement periodically as our practices, the underlying guidelines, and applicable requirements evolve.
